HEAD LICE TECHNICIAN

This position is accountable for providing a first line of response to families that may be struggling with head lice. You would be providing several services from screening for head lice, to full manual removal, to diffusing an anxious situation from such individuals. You will teach and advise clients on good practices when it comes to head lice. The Greater Vancouver Lice clinic is also involved in educational workshops and school-wide screenings; applicant must be comfortable in these settings as well.

The successful candidate will have a strong command of the English language and an approachable demeanor. Applicant will be highly motivated, able to take initiative, and have good interpersonal and communication skills. He or she must be comfortable dealing with head lice as this will be a large part of the job. Duties will also include light office work such as filing, scheduling, customer transactions, and general organization of the clinic. Candidate will require a clean driver’s abstract and must have a criminal check. Applicant should have a high school diploma or equivalent education. Training is provided.
